Description:OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY
This classification requires the independent pick up, delivery, receipt, preparation and issue of supplies such as test equipment, tools, parts, materials, and technical information for processing throughout the Calibration Laboratory. Provide direct customer service liaison functions in performance of duties.
Perform Trident Exchange Pool duties in support of the SWF mission (SWFLANT only).
Perform and assist in the preparation, testing, and calibration of equipment through the use of automatic calibration systems or under the supervision of qualified calibration technicians (SWFPAC only).
WORK PERFORMED
Respond to inquiries made by customers and Calibration Laboratory personnel regarding equipment status. Act as liaison between customer, Metrology schedulers and government personnel in relaying information related to process requirements. Assist customers in resolving issues or concerns that arise.
Independently receive, unpackage, package, stage, status and process sensitive, high value and potentially hazardous test equipment. Adhere to requirements specified in the Technical Services Building Transportation & Handling plan, Accident Prevention Program Manual, local Calibration Laboratory operating procedures and specific rules/regulations. Pick up and deliver supplies and coordinate effort as required. Transport equipment and standards. Operate automobiles, vans or trucks. Operate forklift and other material handling equipment.
Assist in and/or perform the preparation of test equipment for shipment and service when required. Initiate and process related documentation as required. Update the calibration data system with equipment status and all service completion information. Utilize the property and equipment management system in performance of duties.
Work with progressively less guidance and instruction as knowledge, skill, and experience in classification increases.
Provide assistance, while working with a qualified calibration technician, for in-place calibrations as required (SWFPAC only).
Work with technical assistance and guidance or work independently using operating procedures after initial on-the-job instruction and guidance (SWFPAC only).
Using established procedures, load the automatic calibration system. Follow on-screen instructions to perform tasks such as connecting coded plugs and turning knobs and switches. Recognize when test system may be cause of apparent failure and bring to attention of cognizant technical personnel. Place labels and tags on units that have passed calibration. Identify units that have failed calibration and route to repair/calibration technicians. Identify errors in operating procedures and notify cognizant technical person (SWFPAC only).
Perform internal audits/inventories of equipment in process to ensure government/contractor reporting accurately reflects equipment statuses and servicing information. Interface directly with personnel conducting audits of contractor calibration services operations.
Identify and submit requests for equipment and material required to support calibration services operations.
Perform routine clean-up and housekeeping of Calibration Laboratory vehicles, work area, and as requested, other laboratory areas.
Perform related duties, as necessary.
Basic Qualifications:Ability to perform customer-service related tasks with professionalism, tact and courtesy.
Ability to understand and follow U.S. Government regulations and Company procedures governing transportation and handling of equipment and materials.
Ability to read and follow procedures governing the functioning of the Calibration Laboratory and have thorough understanding of calibration handling processes necessary to deliver and process test equipment and related documentation.
Ability to move equipment and supplies.
Skilled in data entry with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Skilled in the use of computers and ability to learn new computer applications.
Ability to qualify for and maintain certificates and/or licenses to perform assigned duties.
Possess electrical and/or mechanical aptitude and the ability to use general purpose hand tools.
Ability to use automatic test equipment (SWFPAC only).
Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
Must be a United States Citizen. No dual citizenship.
Ability to obtain and maintain a final DOD Secret security clearance. Must possess interim Secret clearance prior to start.
Desired Skills:Excellent computer skills in the Windows environment.
Active security clearance.
Calibration/metrology experience.
Forklift operator experience.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
The base range for this position in Washington is $28.27 - $39.62.
