Position Summary
The International Logistics Coordinator plays a key role in optimizing the movement, storage, and distribution of corporate materials, aviation parts, ground support equipment, tools, and commercial products. This role focuses on coordinating international shipping operations, including logistics service provider selection, rate negotiation, documentation processing, import/export compliance, and cost reconciliation. The ideal candidate ensures efficiency, accuracy, and regulatory compliance while supporting continuous improvements in logistics processes.

Essential Functions and Competency Statements
- Coordinate international logistics operations, ensuring shipments arrive on time and within budget.
- Evaluate and select freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transportation providers based on cost, performance, and compliance requirements.
- Analyze shipping rates and negotiate pricing with logistics providers to optimize service levels and costs.
- Request and compare international shipping quotes, confirming booking details and accuracy.
- Review and reconcile freight invoices to ensure alignment with contracts and resolve any discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. and international import/export regulations (e.g., EAR, ITAR, CBP, and DoD requirements).
- Prepare and maintain international shipping documentation, including customs paperwork, bills of lading, airway bills, and commercial invoices.
- Track inventory movements, conduct regular audits, and update records to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Support the tracking, movement, and disposition of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) per company policies.
- Investigate and resolve issues related to delayed, lost, or damaged shipments, working with providers to file claims and recover costs.
- Coordinate with Customs brokers, freight forwarders, and transportation partners to streamline logistics processes.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, cost savings, and compliance.
- Use logistics metrics and KPIs to monitor costs, shipping efficiency, and provider performance, applying insights to optimize operations.
- Adapt to a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple shipments while demonstrating problem-solving skills.
Supervisory Responsibility
This role has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This role operates in a diverse environment that includes an office setting using standard office equipment, as well as a warehouse setting with various weather and temperature conditions.
Physical Demands
This is a largely sedentary role; however, some physical abilities will be required.
Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and work shift may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require.

Required Education, Experience and Certificates
Education:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics and supply chain operations, with a focus on international shipping.
- Background in logistics service provider coordination, quoting, rate analysis, and billing reconciliation.
- Understanding of import/export regulations and compliance requirements.
Experience:
- 2+ years of logistics and supply chain management.
Certificates and Licenses: Valid Driver’s License
Computer Skills:
Preferred Education, Experience and Certificates
- Education: Associates Degree
- Experience: 2+ years of Aviation logistics and supply chain management.
- Government Contract Experience
- Experience in International Shipping
- Experience with Veryon or similar platform.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365
Certificates and Licenses:
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Must be able to accomplish any and all duties with little or no assistance.
- Must have good command of the English language; oral and written.
Work Authorization
- Employee must be able to work legally in the US.
