Consolidated Networks Corporation is hiring a System Engineer for the ITF to work alongside the database administrators, system administrators and network administrators to build and test changes on the baseline test network prior to changes being made on the USAF operational network. These changes will be well documented to maintain integrity in the results of each modification made. Upon completion the ITF will be set back to baseline standards. After testing is completed work with the Cyber Security and TCTO teams to have all changes routed and documented properly. The ITF system engineer will be responsible for maintaining the baseline configuration within the ITF and on the DREN networks when changes are made to the baseline for all AF systems. This position has a hybrid work schedule where employee will work a partial week from home and a partial week in the office.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in related technical discipline, or MIS related field is preferred, but not mandatory.

- U. S. Citizenship and an Active DOD Secret Security Clearance
- 3-5 years of experience as a system engineer on an enterprise network
- Windows Server experience 2012/2008/2003
- Windows 7
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux/Solaris
- VMware or HyperV
- SolarWinds
- DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
- Scripting experience on Windows and Linux based systems to better facilitate changes
- Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, Power Shell
- Microsoft SQL Server experience or an equivalent database product
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), desired
Required Certifications:
- CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent, to start
- ITILv4 Foundation, within 60 days after start
- CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+, or Cloud+, within 6 months after start
- CCNA, RedHat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA), VMware, or Azure certification, within 6 months after Start
Job Responsibilities
- ITF Sustainment
- Maintain baseline system image repository
- Maintain a lab security scanning server
- Maintain an ACAS scanning system
- Perform full and incremental backups of all lab infrastructure
- Perform updates and patches IAW change management process
- Perform preventative system maintenance on all lab equipment IAW references
- Review and analyze system logs on all ITF equipment
- Maintain documentation and diagrams of infrastructure
- Ensure systems maintain compliance with STIGs and other security requirements
- Provide user and user rights management
- Work alongside other system engineers and ITF teams within the (3) ITFs to perform daily tasks associated with testing on the ITF baselined networks.
- Build and maintain network and system environments as required for testing within the (3) ITF locations.
- Maintain documentation of all changes made to the infrastructure and system configurations of the (3) ITF locations to understand the effects of each change for further changes and permanent implementations.
- Return all ITF locations back to their original state upon completion of testing.
- Follow appropriate facility and DOD guidelines for access into ITF locations during and outside of normal business hours.
- Assist customers working within the ITF with all requirements to complete tasks.
