Capability Unit
Metrea Algorithmics (MAX) provides unique engineering services, cloud-based cyber operations infrastructure, advanced tactics, techniques and procedures training, and a full suite of wireless communications survey and reconnaissance sensors that enable real-time multi-domain awareness while enhancing command and control.
Position Summary
As a Metrea Algorithmics Software Engineer, you will be assisting in the design and development of the core MAX software applications and products. You will take part in the integration of COTS components and the development of proprietary software on a team of software developers. You will also support mission operations, testing and reporting. The position will require full stack and cloud development as well as a basic understanding of networking functionality. Tasks required will vary from day to day and the developer will support internal and external customers by integrating products and services.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and integration of the MAX components and systems
- Assist in the integration of COTS components into a larger system
- Ability to develop software in primarily in C++ and som Java, C#, Qt
- Assist and support mission operations of MAX products and services
- Assist in the research of COTS and perform engineering trade-off analysis and risk assessment
Skills and Experience
- Understanding of software development and networking
- Ability to quickly learn challenging concepts, decompose difficult software problems and provide resolution
- Familiarity with cloud development and deployments
- Familiarity with database and query languages
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize work and maximize productivity
- Familiarity with CI/CD and Agile development methods and tools
- Experience: 5+ years in software development or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science with 2+ years of experience
- Computer Skills: Windows and Linux experience, with C++, Qt, Java , C#, Visual Studio and/or IntelliJ

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require. Non-Exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager.

Travel requirements are up to 10% CONUS and OCONUS
