Job Summary:
- Inspection: Conduct thorough borescope inspections of aircraft engines to identify defects, wear, and other issues.
- Documentation: Accurately document findings and create detailed inspection reports.
- Compliance: Ensure all inspections and repairs comply with FAA, EASA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Maintenance: Perform maintenance and minor repairs as required based on inspection results.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and maintenance staff to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Travel: Travel to various locations for on-site inspections and repairs, including emergency AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations.
Duties:
- Engine Inspection: Use borescope equipment to visually inspect the internal components of jet engines, including turbines, compressors, and combustion chambers.
- Report Generation: Generate detailed and accurate reports of inspection findings, including photos and videos when necessary.
- Problem Identification: Identify potential issues such as cracks, corrosion, and foreign object damage (FOD), and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate borescope equipment to ensure accurate and reliable inspections.
- Safety Protocols: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Training: Stay updated with the latest inspection techniques and industry standards through ongoing training and professional development.
