Description
This position will support Aviation Field and Sustainment Level Maintenance on the MH-47 rotary wing aircraft as part of our Contractor Field Team at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA. The pay range for this position is $134K-$147K/year and benefits include health, dental, and life insurance, paid time off, and 401K.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Shall perform Maintenance Test Flights, Functional Test Flights and MOCs to determine the functionality of airframe, power plant, mission accessories, and other aircraft equipment function in accordance with design specification.

Shall perform Test Flights conducted as required in all Special Operations dedicated flight envelopes, to include high gross weight, and Multi-mode Radar flight profiles.

Shall perform testing, including but not limited to the use of ground and in-flight diagnostic test equipment during various phases of flight, including engine run-up and taxi to ensure aircraft systems or components disturbed during an inspection or maintenance action have been repaired, reassembled, or adjusted.

Shall perform aircraft weight and balance.

MTPs shall be aircraft qualified and shall perform aircrew duties IAW applicable -10 manuals, USASOAC Aircrew Training Manuals in support of Maintenance Test Flights, Functional Test Flights, Evaluation Flights, Currency Flights, Ground Runs for related requirements requiring operation of the aircraft systems, as approved by the Government Flight Representative.

May include MOC/Test flights of aircraft in support of aircraft deliveries from DEPOT facilities. In addition, transport maintenance equipment to/from remote sites in support of CFT maintenance effort.

Work is subject to performance on weekends and holidays, days and nights as required.
Qualifications

Must possess an instrument rating on their FAA commercial Certificate.

Must have successfully completed US Army Aircraft Maintenance Officers Course (AMOC) Phase I/II.

Must have at least 2 years' experience on MH-47 series.

Aviators previously qualified in US Army Special Operations Aviation Command (USASOAC) MDS aircraft highly preferred.

The MTP shall undergo and successfully complete, initially, and annually thereafter, a Second Class Flight Physical Medical Certification.

The MTP shall undergo an initial and annual flight evaluation conducted IAW AR 95-1 and all appropriate ATM tasks, and must pass initial, and maintain currency IAW USASOAC and 160th Regimental Tactical Operation Procedures, the Naval Class II Swim test, Dunker, and Emergency Breathing System (EBS) Device.

Must possess an FAA Class II Medical Certificate

This position will require U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance.
Supervisory Responsibilities
As assigned by Program Management.
