The UH-60, AH-64, CH-47 Aircraft Mechanic- Powerplant/Engine – Back Shop Mechanic (T700/701C/D, T55-714) performs and inspects aviation unit (AVUM), intermediate (AVIM) and depot maintenance on assigned aircraft systems.
Perform maintenance and repair of major assemblies and subassemblies of the T700/701C/D, T55-714 and auxiliary power units.
Inspect engine turbine blades to detect cracks, distortion, corrosion, burn-out, security, or breaks.
Perform blade blending and blade replacement in cold section of powerplants.
Replace or repair worn or damaged components, such as generators, alternators, fuel controls, fuel pumps, oil pumps, and engine mounted gearboxes, and compressor bleed valves.
Ability to Perform hot section inspections and determine replacement of hot section components (GG rotors, stators, fuel injectors, igniters, power turbine.)
Disassemble and inspect parts for wear, cracks, security, or other defects.
Perform engine removal, replacement, reinstallation, and quick-change assembly (QCA) maintenance tasks.
Minimum Requirements
High School Graduate or equivalent is required.
Five (5) years of recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience is required.
FAA A&P OR FCC Elements 1 and 3 Required.
With FAA (A&P) Two (2) years aviation maintenance experience, and Two (2) years' experience on the assigned MDS UH60, CH47, AH64 is required.
All experience must be within the Five (5) most recent years.
Without FAA A&P, must possess or obtain an FCC License with Elements 1 and 3, and have Three (3) years aviation maintenance experience, Three (3) years rotary wing aircraft experience and Two (2) years on the assigned Mission Design Series UH-60, AH-64, CH-47 (MDS) to qualify.

Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance, NAC-I T1 Public Trust. ** US Citizenship is required to obtain a T1/CAC NACI Clearance.
Interim NACI approval required for deployment.
Valid US Passport Required for deployment to Germany.
Germany Requirements: TESA approval: Must be able to qualify for TESA approval; must have over 5 years career total Aviation maintenance experience.
Travel as required in support of task order.
Knowledge & Skills
Experience using a variety of common hand tools and measuring devices such as gauges, torque wrenches, scales, and TMDE (Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment).
Ability to cross train in various maintenance disciplines (i.e. powerplant, blade shop, or general maintenance on UH-60, AH-64 and CH-47 aircraft).
Must have skill in reading, applying, and interpreting technical data from maintenance manuals, modification (MWO) installation instructions, schematics, and engineering drawings.
Knowledge of quality, production, and supply processes required to perform job assignment.
Analytical skills required to perform complex troubleshooting.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
Must be able to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
Frequently lift parts and equipment up to 20 pounds.
Occasionally lift objects up to 50 pounds.
Must be immediately deployable to potential combat areas worldwide.
