Top Aces Corp. is seeking a qualified engine mechanic with F-16 Propulsion Technician experience to work at our Operating Location at Eglin AFB in Florida.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Technicians are an integral part of our Maintenance team. Their experience, practical knowledge, creativity, and problem-solving skills will ensure that the aircraft are maintained in an airworthy and dispatch ready status at all times.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform line maintenance, related to aircraft & engine servicing, pre-flight inspections, post-flight inspections, troubleshooting/repair & replace aircraft system components
- Inspect jet engine compressor and turbine blades to detect cracks, distortion, corrosion, burn-through, security, or breaks, utilizing flexible borescope.
- Operate specialized test equipment such as Ignition Tester, Engine Pressure Test Set, Engine Warning Control test set and Rig cart.
- Troubleshoot engine systems; remove, disassemble, inspect, repair, reassemble, and install aircraft and engine components.
- Accomplish engine rigging procedures on engine power controls utilizing test equipment
- Execute work according to all current and applicable technical data, as well as Company policy and procedure. Participate in Company directed training programs to increase knowledge and enhance advancement opportunities.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and manufacturers' and aircraft maintenance manuals.
- You will have the following responsibilities in order to comply with the company's Occupational Health and Safety program;
- Working in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety acts and regulations
- Following safe work practices and procedures and using safeguards and personal protective equipment
- Reporting hazards (such as unsafe situations and activities) to a supervisor immediately.
- Document all maintenance and repair accomplishments in the company's Electronic Record Keeping System (ERKS)
- Initiate material requests for needed parts and/or materials for tasks using the ERKS and other approved forms. Perform weekly parts/material reconciliation with cognizant buyer.
- Implement site-specific SMS-related risk assessment, risk reduction and safety enhancement processes and improvement initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
SKILLS AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven track record of success working on complex assignments requiring considerable judgment, initiative, and technical/specialized knowledge
- Able to work well in a team and within a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- FAA Airframe and/or Power Plant (A&P) license/certification preferred
EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED required
- A minimum of 2 years direct Propulsion Maintenance experience and training on F100-PW-220 Engine.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This position requires close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
The employee is required to regularly work in both office and outside weather environments. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and vibrations, and is frequently exposed to very hot or cold, wet or humid conditions. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risks of electrical shock. The noise level is occasionally very loud.
