Capability Unit
Metrea Strategic Mobility (MSM) operates a fleet of KC-135 aircraft, offering an air-to-air refueling service that seamlessly, safely, and professionally integrates into military aviation training and operations.
Position Summary
The Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Supervisor at MSM is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and repair of all ground support equipment at the Moreno Valley Facility. This role ensures that equipment is operational, safe, and compliant with all regulatory standards, while also leading a team of GSE technicians. The GSE Supervisor will coordinate repairs, preventative maintenance, and equipment inspections, and ensure minimal downtime for essential aircraft operations. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and technical skills, with an emphasis on safety and operational efficiency.
Role and Responsibilities
- Coordinates with Technicians temporarily assigned to perform tool and equipment duties.
- Issues tools & equipment to Technicians.
- Maintains written & digital records of tools and equipment.
- Maintains a monthly inventory of consumable solvents, adhesives, bench stock, and safety equipment supplies.
- Performs a daily inventory of tools & equipment.
- Creates and maintains written & digital records of weekly perpetual inventory of the on-hand quantity of bench stock items. Correct quantities in digital systems and order replacement items to ensure minimum on-hand quantities.
- Requests, unpacks, etches, labels, and stores incoming tools and equipment, and requisitions parts to replenish minimum on-hand inventory.
- Updates Master Tools & Equipment Inventory in digital systems to add, disposition, or remove tools and equipment from the inventory.
- Inspects and measure tools and equipment for defects and wear and report damage or wear to the Maintenance Manager. Impound broken or dangerous items and record disposition of all broken parts & equipment.
- Services and lubricates tools and equipment.
- Responsible for the application and serviceability of tooling identification tags and markings.
- Maintains tool and equipment certification program, tracks certification records in digital systems, and coordinates certification activities with Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratories and equipment test & certification vendors.
- Provide the Quality Assurance Team with accurate tool & equipment control and certification records.
- Acquire knowledge of company Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
- Notify the Safety Team and Maintenance Manager of any environmental and safety incidents, or risks not previously documented, in accordance with MSM Environmental Awareness and or Safety training.
- Develop periodic maintenance programs and SOP’s for ground equipment.
- Perform equipment audits of PM work ordered and inventory audits.
- Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures.

Skills and Experience
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Formal training & certification in tool inventory control and equipment maintenance.
Experience:
- Five (5) years’ experience in aviation, equipment rental, or automotive maintenance career field, experience in a precision manufacturing career field, experience with precision measuring, and equipment certification.
- Understanding of aviation-related quality assurance programs.
- Prior military/contractor aviation support experience.
- 1-2 years Prior Supervisor Experience.
- Strong knowledge of GSE Maintenance programs.
Computer Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products (specifically Word and Excel)

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change by department and business needs. Significant travel is required to carry out assigned maintenance tasks and air operations successfully. Non-exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager.

Work Environment
This job operates within flight line maintenance parameters. This role routinely carried outdoors and uses standard equipment such as electronic and pneumatic test equipment, hand tools, ground power units for aircraft, integrated maintenance information systems, lifts, metal cutters, power drills, rivet tools, portable computing devices, and protective headsets/ear plugs.
