Description: Seeking a Systems Requirements and Architecture to support Operational Fires. The Operational Fires (OpFires) is a program to demonstrate capability for a mobile, ground-launched tactical weapon delivery system capable of carrying a variety of payloads to a variety of ranges. The OpFires System consists of a missile, canister, launch pallet, fire control, and payload. The overarching goal is to develop and demonstrate a novel ground-launched system enabling hypersonic boost-glide weapons to penetrate modern enemy air defenses and rapidly and precisely engage critical time-sensitive targets.
What You Will Be Doing
Candidate will support the development of an open system architecture using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques.
Candidate must be able to perform open system architecture design using SysML based tools. Perform system functionality definition including system states and modes. Define system design for software requirements/functional interfaces and mission planning features. Synthesize design characteristics into an implementable system architecture.
Candidate must be knowledgeable in core Systems Engineering disciplines such as Mission Analysis, Requirements Analysis, and functional and physical System Architecture development. The candidate must be proficient with System Engineering tools (DOORS, Microsoft Word/Excel, CAMEO). Experience with requirements verification methods and test planning is desired. Candidate must possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills, effective task organization and communication skills.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in STEM Field
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Experience with Cameo or Rhapsody
- Understanding of basic missile system design principles
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance and must be able to obtain an interim secret prior to start.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
