Description
BlueForce, Inc. is seeking for Special Assistant (Legal and Accounting) to support the US Department of State (DoS) Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) Program in the advancement of professionalization of the Haitian National Police (HNP) in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
***Position is Subject to Contract Award***
General Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Preparation of a comprehensive analysis on related topics as requested by management.
- Handling administrative requests and queries from senior managers
- Planning meetings and taking detailed minutes
- Create, update, and maintain office policies and procedures as needed.
- Book travel arrangements
- Submit and reconcile expense reports
- Liaise with executive and senior administrative assistants to handle requests and queries from senior managers
Qualifications
Position Minimum qualifications:
- Local National
- Bachelor’s degree in law, accounting, finance, or related fields.
- FSI level 3/3 (professional working proficiency) in English.
- At least three (3) years’ experience in an administrative position with progressively responsible duties and responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of Haiti’s labor Law and able to advise management about labor law questions and inquiries and/or strong knowledge of Haiti’s tax payments and returns and able to advise on accounting questions and inquiries.
- Ability to deal effectively with senior U.S. and government officials.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
General Qualifications
- Able to pass an RSO vetting carried out by the U.S. Embassy.
- Must pass a physical, medical, and psychological tests; nine-panel drug test and a background check.
- Valid passport and driver’s license and ability to operate a standard transmission vehicle.
- FSI Level 3/3 (professional working proficiency) in French and/or Haitian Creole is preferred.
- Specialization in Haiti’s Labor Law is preferred.
