Position Summary
The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing logistics and supply chain operations for a diverse fleet of aircraft, including the DHC-8 200 and other turboprop or jet models. The role ensures efficient and compliant aircraft operations across FAA and EASA jurisdictions while managing the shipping, consigning, and acceptance of dangerous goods. This position requires expertise in aviation logistics, regulatory compliance, and supply chain optimisation to support operational readiness and efficiency
Role and Responsibilities
Fleet Logistics Management
- Develop and implement logistics strategies for aircraft operations, maintenance, and deployment.
- Coordinate aircraft movements and ensure alignment with operational schedules and regulatory requirements across CAA, FAA and EASA jurisdictions.
- Manage spare parts inventory, procurement, and supply chain processes to minimise downtime and optimise costs.
Dangerous Goods Management
- Oversee the handling, shipping, consigning, and acceptance of dangerous goods in compliance with IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR), CAA, FAA, and EASA standards.
- Ensure all documentation, labelling, and packaging meet regulatory standards for hazardous materials.
- Train and certify personnel in dangerous goods handling and maintain compliance with all regulations.
Compliance and Documentation
- Ensure all logistics operations comply with CAA, FAA, EASA, ICAO, and other relevant regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, maintenance schedules, aircraft movements, and dangerous goods consignments.
- Prepare and submit reports to regulatory authorities, auditors, and senior management.
Operational
- Monitor logistics performance metrics and implement improvements for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop contingency plans for supply chain disruptions, unplanned maintenance, AOGs and emergency situations.
- Working closely with CAMO and other engineering/maintenance suppliers and organisations.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, aviation management, supply chain management, or minimum 5 years' experience in a related field.
- Experience managing logistics for diverse aircraft fleets, including the King Air and DHC-8 models.
- Familiarity with CAA, FAA and EASA regulatory frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of aviation maintenance, operations, and logistics principles.
- Expertise in handling and transporting dangerous goods under IATA DGR.
- Proficiency in logistics management software and ERP systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organisational skills.
- Leadership abilities, with experience managing cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or equivalent certification.
- IATA Dangerous Goods Certification.
- Demonstrated ability to work across international regulatory environments, including CAA, FAA and EASA jurisdictions.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes and strategies specific to aviation.
- Holder of current UK security clearance/ability to obtain security clearance.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time non-exempt position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require. Non-Exempt employees may be required to work over 37.5 hours per week with approval from the department manager.

This dynamic role combines strategic oversight, operational execution, and physical activity. While the position primarily involves office-based and remote work, there will be instances requiring hands-on involvement, including physical lifting and coordination of materials and equipment.
